The EngineAI T800 is a human-sized robot with powerful joints, cameras, onboard computers, and enough freedom of movement to walk, turn, punch, kick, fall, and get back up.
It was not made only for URKL. EngineAI sells the T800 as a general-purpose humanoid platform. URKL takes that platform and makes it the common starting point for every team.

What is the EngineAI T800?
T800 is a full-size humanoid robot made by EngineAI, a robotics company based in Shenzhen, China.
“Humanoid” simply means its body follows the broad shape of a person: a head, torso, two arms, and two legs. That shape lets researchers train human-like movement, but it also creates a hard control problem. The robot must constantly manage its weight and balance while many joints move at once.
EngineAI publishes several T800 editions. The figures in this guide come from its current Basic Edition listing unless noted otherwise. They are product-page figures, not a promise that every URKL robot has an identical setup.

What does 450 N·m mean?
It is the maximum torque EngineAI lists for a joint. Torque is turning effort: how strongly a motor can rotate a joint around its axis. It is not the same thing as punch force, and EngineAI does not publish a punch-force number on the product page.

EngineAI’s Basic Edition specification lists an Intel depth camera, an Orin NX 16 GB high-performance computer, and a separate Intel robot computer with an optional RK3588 module. It also lists Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and wired network connections.

What do URKL teams change?

What is the T800 fighting armor?
EngineAI calls its official protective outer shell FA01, short for Fighting Armor.
The company describes FA01 as protective armor for compliant robot fighting, exhibitions, and entertainment performances. It also says the armor can be personalized. The URKL rules separately encourage teams to develop protective equipment.

An important distinction
Is the URKL T800 the same as the commercial robot?
It is the same named robot platform, but the public evidence does not support treating every product-page detail as a fixed URKL specification.
